Apple removed 1,474 apps on government requests in 2022, this is the number for India and Pakistan

Apple removed 1,474 apps from its App Store in 2022 as requested by governments worldwide for violating laws. The company's report revealed mainland China had the most removals with 1,435 apps. Meanwhile, India had only 14 removal requests, Russia had seven, and Pakistan had 10. Apple rejected 1,679,694 app submissions, with 253,466 approved after being initially denied. The company also terminated 428,487 developer accounts for violating its policies. The App Store has become a trusted place for users since its launch in 2008, according to Apple.
