ChatGPT 'fools' lawyer who now faces sanctions

A US-based lawyer used an AI-powered chatbot called ChatGPT for assistance while writing a legal brief and ended up submitting cases that were non-existent. The mistakes were pointed out by opposing counsel during the case. Six cases cited by the chatbot were found to be bogus judicial decisions with bogus quotes and internal citations.
