Amazon to create 20 lakh jobs in India by 2030: CEO Andy Jassy to PM Narendra Modi

Amazon CEO, Andy Jassy, announced plans to invest an additional $15bn in India over the next seven years, taking total investment in India to $26bn. During Indian prime minister Narendra Modi's first state visit with the US, the two discussed supporting Indian start-ups and creating jobs, among other initiatives. Amazon has pledged to digitise 10 million small businesses, create two million jobs and enable $20bn in exports by 2025. Amazon India said it had digitised more than 6.2 million small businesses and created over 1.3 million jobs.
