Microsoft Edge may have a ‘warning’ for rebranded Twitter, but there’s no need to panic

Last week Elon Musk-owned Twitter rebranded by replacing its popular bird logo with a Unicode character resembling 'X', along with a name change. Microsoft Edge is warning Twitter users that the rebranding may be a security issue; this alarm appears due to embedded security content for Progressive Web Apps(PWAs) that detects name or icon changes, which may indicate a scam. PWAs are designed with built-in security features available in Chromium-based browsers like Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
