Tech layoffs: Cisco fire employees across business units

Cisco has confirmed that it is laying off thousands of employees as part of its restructuring plan, which it announced in November 2022. The company had earlier announced that it plans to cut 4,000 jobs or about 5 per cent of its workforce. The recent notifications are part of the rebalancing effort the company began, affecting about 5 per cent of the employees. Despite the layoffs, Cisco has committed to extending help to the affected employees, such as providing generous severance packages and offering new opportunities within the organization.
