Microsoft Paint could soon get AI drawing features

Microsoft is reportedly adding AI-powered features to Paint in Windows 11, using OpenAI's DALL-E 2 model. Users will be able to generate a canvas based on text prompts. Other AI tools are also being planned for Photos, the Camera app, and the Snipping Tool, including identifying and cutting and pasting objects, and optical character recognition (OCR) for text identification. Microsoft has been investing in AI across its product line, and plans to incorporate AI more deeply into the next major release of Windows in 2024.
