Tiktok may have 'bad news' for Amazon and other online shopping platforms

TikTok is reportedly planning to ban links to outside e-commerce platforms such as Amazon in an effort to ensure that users only buy products from the TikTok Shop. The move is expected to prevent influencers from redirecting users to rival shopping websites. TikTok Shop, which is projected to lose over $500 million in the US this year, aims to help creators generate revenue by selling exclusively on the platform.
